I see a future in Denver where every parent and child has the chance to proudly choose to attend the school in their neighborhood and Denver can again walk to school with the confidence that the doors of opportunity are open to everyone.

My vision is that every student can learn and that all students in the Denver public schools should have the opportunity to graduate from high school prepared for success as full participants in our community. For each student to be successful we need excellent early childhood education to prepare for elementary school, excellent elementary schools to prepare for middle school, and excellent middle schools to prepare for excellent high schools. We need great schools in each of Denver's neighborhoods (not just in some places).

I have an ACTION PLAN so that together we can achieve this vision. My plan includes a set of GUIDING PRINCIPLES and explains why I AM IDEALLY SUITED, with my board colleagues and the Superintendent, to implement this plan.
